Dr. Alenick was recognized as Physician of the Year in 1996 by Hippocrates Magazine for his innovative use of the Internet to save the life of a seriously ill Peruvian child. In more recent years, Dr. Alenick has helped coordinate several cardiac screening events with the aim of identifying children and adolescents with potentially life-threatening cardiac disorders.
