Dr. Balaguru specializes in interventional cardiac catheterization for children and adults with congenital heart disease. He shares duties in pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. His research interests include application of transcatheter devices to treat cardiac defects in interventional cardiology, understanding and application of Near-infrared Spectroscopy for monitoring sick children with congenital heart disease, optimal use of sedation/analgesia in children, among others. He is available for consultation for transcatheter therapy of congenital heart defects in children and adults.
