How do
I apply for residency training?
Contact the individual residency programs. Contact information
may be found on the web site or by contacting our office.
All programs participate in ERAs. Participation in the NRMP
varies from program to program.
Do you
accept elective rotations from other medical schools?
Elective rotations by medical students in
good standing at LCME accredited medical schools are accepted
on a space available basis for fourth year students. Application
is made through Debbie Likon
Do you
accept students for observerships?
No.
Where
can I find out more about your training program and institution?
Details are available at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center
web site. For those programs not having a web page for training
program, contact individual residency coordinators. Also

What is
the status of your residency programs?
All programs are fully accredited by either the ACGME or
AOA ( American Osteopathic Association). In addition the
Medical Center is fully accredited as a training site for
Graduate Medical Education.
What educational
resources are available?
An on-site library staffed by full time librarians.
Access to the internet and the world wide web is available
through the library, through most computer terminals throughout
the hospital and in the resident call room area.
A variety of information databases are available online
such as Up
to Date and E
Medicine.
Many journals and books are accessible directly via computer.
What benefits
are provided?
Health insurance, disability insurance , life Insurance,
parking , meal allowance when on-call, and $200 per year
book allowance are provided.
What are

programs?
The Saint Barnabas Medical Center is a modern 600 bed facility
that offers a wide range of medical services for members
of the community. The Medical Center provides educational
experience in many areas of nursing, medicine, pharmacy
and allied health.
