Residents
are instructed by a medical team that consists of 10 board-certified
radiologists, two of whom also are board
certified in nuclear medicine and a board-certified medical
imaging physicist. All faculty members are fellowship trained
from leading university programs.
Dr.
Richard Ruchman, Chairman and Program Director,
graduated from the University of Michigan School of Medicine,
completed a Nuclear Medicine Residency at Brigham and Women’s
Hospital, a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Sinai
Medical Center in New York and a Fellowship in Abdominal
and Thoracic Imaging at New York University Medical Center.
He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology
and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Thomas
Kelly, assistant Director of the residency
program and Director of the chest section, graduated from
the University of Maryland Medical School, completed his Radiology
Residency here at Monmouth Medical Center and completed a
Fellowship in Imaging at the University of California, San
Francisco. He is board certified by the American Board of
Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in neuroradiology.
Dr.
Peter Park, Section Director of Cardiovascular
and Interventional, received his medical training at SUNY
Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn in New York, he completed
his residency training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New
York and completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology
at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He is board certified
by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr.
Yasmeen Shariff is the section Director for
Ultrasound. She received her medical training at Temple University
School of Medicine in Philadelphia, completed her residency
training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and completed
a fellowship in Imaging including women’s imaging at
the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. She is board
certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr.
Salman Rashid, Director of Nuclear Medicine,
completed a nuclear medicine residency at Christ Hospital
in Cincinnati, Ohio and completed his radiology residency
here at Monmouth. He is board certified by the American Board
of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology .
Dr.
Stanley Lu received his medical degree from the
New York University School of Medicine. He also completed
his Radiology Residency at the New York University Medical
Center and his Neuroradiology fellowship at Stanford University
Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board
of Radiology. He also has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. Dr. Lu has an impressive list of publications
and scientific presentations. He is currently on the Radiology
Residency Committee and participates in yearly residency interviews
for the NRMP match.
Dr.
Melinda Staiger, Medical Director of the Breast
Center, received her medical training and residency training
at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Staiger
is the former Director of Mammography at New York University
Medical Center and the former Director of Breast Imaging at
the Pittsburgh Cancer Center. She is board certified by the
American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society
of Breast imagers.
Dr.
Tejas Shinde received his medical degree from the
New York University School of Medicine. He completed his Radiology
Residency also at the New York University School of Medicine.
He is fellowship trained in MRI, combined body,neuroradiology
and musculoskeletal from the Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Shinde was the recipient of many honors during his years
of medical training including the RSNA Medical Student Research
Grant.
Dr.
Sidney Schultz received his medical training
at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York and completed
his residency training at Montefiore Hospital in New York.
He is board certified by the American board of Radiology.
Dr. Leizle Talangbayan graduated from Drexel Medical School, she completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Christiana Hospital in Delaware and completed her Radiology Residency here at Monmouth Medical Center. She then went on to do a Fellowship in Body Imaging at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Talangbayan is very active in research for the residency program.
Mr.Thomas Piccoli, the Medical Imaging Physicist,
is a graduate of the University of Lowell in Massachusetts
with a degree in Radiological Physics and Protection. He is
board certified by the American Board of Medical Physicists
and the American Board of Radiology.
