Saint Barnabas Health Care System
The
Saint Barnabas Health Care System is the largest integrated
health care delivery system in New Jersey, with nine hospitals,
nine nursing and rehabilitation centers and three assisted
living facilities, ambulatory care facilities, geriatric
centers, a statewide behavioral health network and comprehensive
home care and hospice programs.
Services
of the affiliated institutions include New Jersey's only
certified burn treatment facility; the state's only center
for heart and lung transplants, two of New Jersey's three
kidney transplant centers; three Valerie Fund Children's
Centers; the state's only poison information hotline; comprehensive
cancer services; and renowned women’s and children’s services
including Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth
Israel Medical Center.
A
variety of educational opportunities are offered at Saint
Barnabas Health Care System institutions including undergraduate
medical education and postgraduate training, residencies
and fellowships. Medical research and public health issues
are also a priority of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.
