 The Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center - one of only a few in the United States - sets a new standard for ambulatory health, offering the highest quality medical care, technology, patient satisfaction, comfort and convenience.
Located just a few minutes from Saint Barnabas Medical Center in a natural and tranquil setting, this handsome, easily accessible facility brings together a broad array of programs and services for our patients in one location.
The following are the amenities and medical services that are available to you and your family. To receive an in-depth brochure for a particular program or service, please call the department directly with your request or stop at the Center's Concierge Desk.
The Concierge is there to welcome and assist you in any way possible at the Ambulatory Care Center. Located in the Atrium Lobby, the Concierge is available to help you resolve a problem, assign an escort, provide directions, call a taxi for you or help to arrange other transportation if needed. Feel free to stop by the Concierge Desk with any questions or concerns you may have or to learn about the services at the Ambulatory Care Center.

Complimentary Valet parking and patient drop-off are available at the main entrance. Complimentary Garage and outdoor parking is also available. As patients and their families enter the facility, greeters will be on hand to offer immediate assistance

Complimentary Child Care Center Available
Hours: Monday and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Infants through children 12 years of age who have a family member receiving treatment at the ACC are welcome. (Maximum time limit: 2 hours)
We are pleased to provide a creative, colorful and fun environment so that parents or guardians can concentrate on their medical appointment. An identification system utilizing ID bracelets is in place allowing you to leave with the knowledge that children are safe and secure.

- Reservations are requested 24 hours in advance
- Please confirm that the child is free from infectious disease:
o No fever, diarrhea or vomiting for 24 hours
o No recent exposure to chicken pos
o No eye redness, i.e. pink eye
o No undiagnosed skin rashes/irritations

In addition to the Child Care Center, child-friendly waiting areas are available throughout the Ambulatory Care Center for children receiving medical care.

Courtesy Transportation is available to Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center patients, based on availability, who are having surgery, a lengthy radiology examination or other prolong tests or procedures. Patients should request this service at the time they schedule their appointments. For more information, ask the department scheduler or call the Security Department at 973-322-7351.
The South Orange Avenue Bus #31 stops at the Ambulatory Care Center as part of its regularly daily route. For additional information about bus routes and schedules, please call 1-800-772-2222. If you would like a taxi or transportation between Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center, simply ask the Concierge to assist you.

The Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center provides many opportunities to support the health education needs of our patients and the community. Wellness education programs and support groups for the public are integral components of the Ambulatory Care Center’s commitment to your good health.

For the convenience of all Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center patients, a retail pharmacy is located on site. This was one of the most frequent requests made by patients during our planning for this facility. Patients and family members may fill any needed prescriptions before leaving the Center, knowing that they can return home without any additional stops. Patients who have undergone procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery Center will find this service to be particularly helpful.
You and your family may use the pharmacy for all our prescription needs, and we welcome the opportunity to be of service to you. In addition to filling your prescriptions, the pharmacy can assist you with your home care needs by referring you to services that offer home nursing, medical and respiratory equipment, infusion therapy needs and other supplies. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For your convenience, major prescription plans including Medicare Part D, credit cards, personal checks or cash are accepted.
