X-rays are an invaluable tool in diagnosing a variety of injuries and complications.
Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) is a contrast study of the kidneys and urinary tract.
Fluoroscopy utilizes contrast to enable the radiologist to observe the functions and structure of the inner body.
This type of study is used to evaluate the colon (Barium Enema); esophagus and stomach (Upper GI Series); small intestine (Small Bowel Series); and fallopian tubes (Hysterosalpingogram, primary for infertility related diagnoses).
Additional diagnostic services are available at The Saint Barnabas Imaging Center, in Livingston, including: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (4 MRIs, including new 3.0T and 1.0T Open with Ambient, multi-media experience, easing fears of children and claustrophobic adults); Computerized Tomography Scan (CT), PET/CT Scan, diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound and Breast MRI.
