Specialized Support Groups
There are two specialized support groups for patients who have had bariatric surgery. Bariatric Support Group I is specifically for patients who have had bariatric surgery within the last 12 months. Bariatric Support Group II is for patients who have had bariatric surgery over 12 months ago.
Each Support Group offers additional educational and networking opportunities for participants. To assure that sessions offer the highest value to patients, Support Group sessions address a broad spectrum of issues that help meet the challenges of long term lifestyle changes. They are led by a professional who is especially experienced with the challenges of obesity such as a Registered Dietitian, a Registered Nurse, or an Exercise Physiologist, and include topics such as: healthy cooking, stress management, exercise guidelines, coping skills, behavior modification, improving quality of diet, supplements, eating out, and body image changes.

Meet with others who have had bariatric surgery to discuss topics of interest such as: lifestyle changes, nutrition and exercise.
Each session will be led by a professional (dietician, nurse, exercise physiologist, psychologist, doctor) who is especially experienced with the challenges of obesity, weight loss and long-term weight maintenance.
