The Ambulatory Department supplies full pediatric services for children from birth to 19 years of age. Adolescent medicine with family planning and an adolescent gynecology division are also available. Unique features of this program include:
- On-site radiology services and nebulizer therapy
- Conscious sedation program to make MRIs, CT scans and other tests as painless and non-threatening as possible
- Weekly hours that include three evenings and Saturdays. Attending physicians are available around the clock, 365 days a year
- Active participation in the Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Program as well as in the American Academy of Pediatrics Community Access to Child Health Program (CATCH), which help pediatricians in the community to improve children’s access to health care.
- On-site availability of all pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey as well as access to social workers and community outreach specialists
