Belleville, NJ—Clara Maass Medical Center will partner with the North Arlington Health Department to hold a free community program entitled, Healthy Choices for a Healthy Lifestyle, on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The program will be held at the North Arlington Health Department, located at 10 Beaver Avenue, North Arlington, NJ.
According to the American Heart Association, 1 in 3 Americans are affected with heart and blood vessel diseases—the nation’s leading cause of death. A healthy diet and lifestyle are your best weapons to fight cardiovascular disease. At this program, members of an expert medical staff and dietary team will discuss how to make healthy choices to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevent chronic illnesses. Some of the topics will include diet, exercise and preventative medicine.
Free health screenings will be available beginning at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and an informational program.
