RODRIGUEZ PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF
EMERGENCY SERVICES AT CLARA MAASS

Belleville, NJLea Rodriguez, RN, BLS, ACLS, has been recently promoted to Assistant Vice President of Emergency Services at Clara Maass Medical Center.

Prior to this promotion, she served as Director of Emergency Services, Behavioral Health and Infection Control, in which she managed and maintained the operations of each department.  She was concurrently the Director of Patient Care Finance.

“I have been with the Emergency Services Department for the past two years and I am honored to be able to serve as its assistant vice president,” said Rodriguez. “My team and I will continue to work hard to enhance the department’s services and reduce waiting times for patients.”

“Lea has been an integral part of the department and the hospital,” said Mary Ellen Clyne, M.S.N., R.N., C.N.A.A., Chief Operating Officer and VP of Patient Care Services, Clara Maass Medical Center. “She assisted in acquiring accreditation for our Chest Pain Center and in obtaining 16 new beds for our Emergency Department. We are very excited to see what she can do in this new position.”

Rodriguez has been with the Medical Center since 2001, where she has served in several positions including those mentioned above, as well as Director of Critical Care and Hemodialysis and Nurse Manager of the Telemetry Unit. Before coming to Clara Maass, she worked as registered nurse and Nurse Manager of the Telemetry Unit at The General Hospital Center at Passaic.

Rodriguez is currently enrolled in the Administrative Sciences master’s program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She graduated from the nursing program at Felician College and has a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration from Cook College of Rutgers University. She is a member of the Philippine Nurses Association.
