Diabetes education is an integral part of nursing care for patients
with diabetes. Teaching is done on an individual basis with specific
patients and families. Diabetes education is also provided for
outpatients and their families. Clara Maass supports diabetes education
and utilizes its personnel to provide a multidisciplinary approach
for inpatient and outpatient services.
