Social workers are available to help patients to adjust to their
illness and hospitalization. Services provided include: planning
for hospital discharge and arrangements for post-hospital needs;
information and referrals to hospital and community resources and
aftercare facilities, and counseling for personal and financial
problems related to the medical situation.
