The 3rd annual all-day, all-night benefit for the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center will be held at The Office Restaurant & Lounge on Wednesday, February 20.
Located at 820 Main Street and Route 37 in Toms River, the Office Restaurant & Lounge will donate 50% of gross profits that day to honor the memory of J. Phillip Citta. Last year the event raised $17,000 for the Cancer Center.
Richard J. Pallamary, vice president of the Community Medical Center Foundation, said, “We are very grateful to the Office Lounge and the Citta family for their ongoing and generous support of our cancer center. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the ongoing improvements to our cancer center, including new equipment, technology, as well as the programs and services which most importantly benefit our patients and their families.”
Tee-shirts will be sold at the benefit event for $10, with 100% of the profits going towards the Center. There will be an auction with various prizes held throughout the day. Donations for the auction are now being accepted. To make a donation, contact Nick Pagano at (732) 349-0800.
The J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center, affiliated with the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, offers state-of-the-art radiation oncology; infusion services and educational and support services to patients and their families. The $7 million, 20,000-square-foot center is named for Mr. Citta, a successful and popular Dover Township businessman whose family members are longtime supporters of the hospital.
If you can’t attend the Office Lounge benefit, personal donations are also accepted and encouraged by calling (732) 349-0800 or the Community Medical Center Foundation at (732) 557-8131.
Rosanne Citta (second from left) presents a check in the amount of $17,000 to Community Medical Center Foundation’s VP for Development, Rick Pallamary, representing proceeds from the 2007 Office Lounge Fundraiser held in memory of her brother Phil. Funds raised benefit the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at CMC. Also pictured are Andy Kiraly, General Manager of the Office and CMC Foundation Board Member, Nick Pagano, who worked tirelessly to make the second annual event another huge success.
