TOMS RIVER, NJ, MAY 28, 2009 – Community Medical Center has launched its first electronic newsletter called Health e-News. The publication, which is distributed by email every two weeks, is gaining popularity very quickly.
Jean M. Flaherty, director of Marketing at Community Medical Center, said, “Electronic newsletters are an ideal way to get information out to a large group of people, for the fraction of the cost of a traditional printed newsletter. At Community, we always have so much news to share, that an e-newsletter was a good choice for communicating timely information to the public.”
Flaherty said anyone interested in signing up for the free newsletter should log onto www.saintbarnabas.com and select Community Medical Center from the “Find a Facility” link on the home page. “Simply click on the “Subscribe to Our Health e-Newsletter” link and complete the information. Every other week you’ll receive the newsletter right in your email inbox,” she said.
Since Health e-News launched on May 1, nearly 1,000 people have signed up for the e-newsletter, Flaherty added. “Our goal is to include pertinent information on a variety of topics that is useful to our readers.”
The newsletter includes articles about general health information, news from the hospital about new programs and services, special events, programs, lectures and support groups.
To suggest a topic for a future issue, readers can email info@sbhcs.com.
Flaherty said, “In this electronic age where information is sent and received faster than ever before, we hope that our patients, neighbors and community find it beneficial to know what’s going on at Community Medical Center in a modern, useful way.”
