Community Medical Center Librarian Receives Award for Excellence 

TOMS RIVER, NJ, JUNE 9, 2009 – Community Medical Center Librarian Reina Reisler was presented with the 2009 New Jersey Health Sciences Librarian of the Year Award from the Health Sciences Library Association of New Jersey.

The award, given in recognition of Reisler’s vision and excellence in medical librarianship, unwavering support and promotion of health sciences libraries and professional innovative leadership, was presented at an awards ceremony on June 3 in New Brunswick.

Founded in 1972, HSLANJ is a non-profit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Hospital Association, with the goals of encouraging the professional development and advancement of librarianship and improving the quality of library services provided by health care organizations in New Jersey.

Reisler has worked at Community Medical Center for 27 years as librarian of the hospital’s Joel E. Powers, MD Memorial Library. She is a resident of Oceanport.
