Thomas E. Hackett, DO, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist
with offices in Wall, NJ. Dr. Hackett is director of Gynecologic
Oncology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, and is
on staff at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Dr. Hackett earned his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
from the University of Rhode Island. He earned is doctor of
Osteopathy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry
(UMDNJ) School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency
in obstetrics and gynecology at Naval Hospital in San Diego;
a visiting fellowship in medical oncologic service at Fox Chase
Cancer Center in Philadelphia; and a fellowship in Gynecologic
Oncology at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center/Pennsylvania
State University.
In addition, Dr. Hackett held academic appointments at the
F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland
and The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a Certificate
of Special Qualification in Gynecologic Oncology from the American
Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Hackett is a Diplomat
of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the
National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and
Surgeons. He was honorably discharged as a Commander from the
United States Navy; and has published many articles pertaining
to gynecologic oncology.
