RTOG 0614: A Randomized, Phase III, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled
Trial of Memantine for Prevention of Cognitive Dysfunction in
Patients Receiving Whole Brain Radiotherapy
The
primary objective is to determine the addition of Memantine to
WBRT preserves cognitive function, specifically memory over that
of placebo and WBRT in patients with brain metastases.
| Inclusion Criteria: |
Solid tumor malignancy and brain metastases
Controlled primary disease for 3 months+
Chemotherapy completed > 14 days |

Prior

MI
within last 6 months |

Arm 1: WBRT/15
fractions + Memantine
Arm 2: WBRT/15
