• A 17-bed pediatric unit specially designed for children receiving inpatient treatment for acute and chronic conditions. For parents’ peace of
mind, one parent can stay overnight during the entire length of hospitalization.


• A playroom offers plenty of toys and games for children ofall ages, including video game systems.


• Advances in leading-edge technology in surgical services
and diagnostic imaging techniques are revolutionizing the
treatment of many childhood disorders.


• A dedicated pediatric emergency service is staffed by a medical
team specially trained in pediatrics and emergency medicine.


• Over 80 pediatricians and neonatologists on staff trained in
all aspects of childhood illnesses and disorders.


• As an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System,
Community Medical Center has access to nationally
recognized pediatric programs and services including The
Children's Heart Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical
Center; and The Burn Center at Saint Barnabas Medical
Center, as well as the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at
Newark Beth and the Children's Hospital at Monmouth
Medical Center.
