Community Medical Center's Regional Dialysis Program offers various types of renal replacement therapies. The Medical Center provides hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis and plasmapheresis, both to inpatients and outpatients. Continuous Veno Veno Hemo Dialysis (CVVHD) is performed on an inpatient basis. An extensive home training and self-care program, entitled "Homeward Bound" is available to all chronic dialysis patients. The multidisciplinary team design of the program allows for comprehensive state-of-the-art renal services for Peritoneal and hemodialysis patients.
For healthcare education and support, the renal department offers a treatment option education program on an individual or group basis, a volunteer mentor program, as well as a monthly orientation class for patients and families. For more information, please call (732) 557-8090.
