Friends Make All the Difference to Hospice
West Orange, NJ -- A group of volunteer women, known as The Friends of Hospice, will celebrate their 26th Anniversary Fall Event, on Thursday, November 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange. The luncheon will feature boutique shopping, a 50/50 and raffle drawings. Astrologer Michael Lutin, Contributing Editor for Vanity Fair magazine, will present a talk entitled, “Politics and Economics Meet Astrology: the Forecast for 2010.” Tickets are $95 – Friend; $125.00 – Benefactor. All proceeds will benefit the patients and families served by the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center (SBHPCC), an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.

Established in 1981, the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center provides comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care and support services to patients with advanced illness and their families throughout ten counties in the State of New Jersey. The program, which serves infants, children, adults and the elderly, honors the unique choices and values of patients and their families while offering full access to the broad array of services provided by the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.
