The
Cardiology Department offers services to both inpatients
and outpatients including ECG, 24-hour cardiac (Holter) monitoring
and cardiac stress testing, and routine pacemaker checks.
Echocardiographs (Echos) are ultrasound tests that produce
moving pictures of heart muscles and valves to assist physicians
with identification and treatment of cardiac conditions.
Echos can also be performed for inpatients or outpatients,
are not painful and take about an hour.
Outpatients are required to bring a physician prescription
indicating the type of test and reason for the test, along
with a physician referral if needed. For information or to
schedule an appointment, please call (732) 886-4426.
Kimball's Cardiac Rehabilitation Outpatient program combines
the latest concepts of cardiovascular rehabilitation, optimizing
the patient's physical, mental, and social abilities. Patients
participate in a comprehensive 12-week exercise and rehabilitation
program under the direct supervision of an interdisciplinary
team of physicians, nurses, exercise specialists and dietitians.
