Lakewood, NJ --- Kimball Medical Center physicians Dr. Vince Moss, urologist and Dr. Vance Moss, a thoracic surgeon, were recently honored by the Friends’ Health Connection, a national organization dedicated to connecting individuals suffering from the same disease.

At a dinner held at The Imperia in Somerset, NJ, Drs. Vince and Vance Moss were each presented with the Frances Black Humanitarian Award in Healthcare. This award was established ten years ago by the Friends’ Health Connection to recognize excellence in healthcare throughout New Jersey, and is bestowed upon individuals who go above and beyond to touch the lives of others.
The award is named in memory of Frances Black, mother of Friends' Health Connection Founder and Executive Director, Roxanne Black-Weisheit, who dedicated her life to improving the health of others. Over the course of her career as a registered nurse and art therapist, Mrs. Black delivered compassionate care to individuals with physical disabilities, behavioral health problems and thousands of other patients with a diverse range of health issues and life changes.
“We are extremely proud of both physicians,” said Anthony Lombardino, MD, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Kimball Medical Center. “Their charitable work, which includes providing free medical services to Iraqi and Afghani children while they were stationed in those countries, as well as arranging to bring some of those children to the U.S. so they can perform surgery here, warrants this special recognition,” he said.
Dr. Lombardino presented Drs. Moss with their awards at the Friends’ Health Connection Awards Dinner.
