Lakewood, NJ - Supreme Asset Management & Recovery (SAMR) located in Lakewood, recently made a significant donation to Kimball Medical Center that will surely affect the lives of the thousands of patients who visit the Operating Rooms there each year.
Thanks to this donation made to the Kimball Medical Center Foundation by SAMR, the hospital will soon be able to purchase additional, state-of-the-art equipment for its operating rooms.
“Supreme Asset Management & Recovery is truly representative of how companies can have a significant effect on their community by giving back through volunteerism and philanthropy,” says Caryl Russo, Ph.D., Vice President of Development for Kimball Medical Center.
SAMR is a premier computer asset management and electronics recycling company that provides solutions for businesses, schools, hospitals, and government entities. SAMR owns and operates a registered state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot facility on 13 acres of property in Lakewood, New Jersey, and is one of the only computer recycling companies that can safely and legally collect, disassemble and recycle computers. SAMR’s corporate location is in Lakewood but also has facilities in Richmond, Virginia and Shirley, Massachusetts.
“We are grateful for SAMR’s recognition that Kimball Medical Center does invaluable work for our community and that we are worthy of their generosity. Their support is instrumental in helping us fulfill our Surgical Suites Capital Campaign, which will enable us to purchase new equipment that will help staff, physicians, and, most of all, patients requiring surgery at Kimball,” she adds.
Al Boufarah, President of SAMR, toured the OR at Kimball with Dr. Tanveer Ahmad, cardiologist on staff at Kimball, recently. During this tour, Boufarah saw firsthand what the SAMR donation would be funding and the extreme value of how new equipment would benefit the lives of all the patients at Kimball.
According to Russo, a variety of other donations have also enabled the hospital to purchase new equipment. “We recently purchased a new C-Arm, a Fluoroscopy unit, a mini C-Arm and new lights for the OR.”
The Kimball Medical Center Foundation was created to support Kimball Medical Center and the programs and services it provides. A variety of fundraising events held throughout the year, as well as contributions from individuals, corporations, and other donors help the Foundation fund facility improvements, and also help fund new programs and services and purchase state-of-the-art equipment. The Foundation enjoys the support of thousands of friends, especially the members of the Kimball Medical Center Auxiliary Association, who not only raise funds for the hospital, but also serve as “ambassadors” in the community.
