The Childhood Development and Behavioral Pediatrics division of the Children’s Hospital treats the full spectrum of developmental and behavioral difficulties in children of all ages. Patients are seen both in the hospital’s inpatient units and at one of several outpatient practice locations.

We provide screening, diagnosis and treatment for children with abnormal development. Patients are treated through medical management as well as physical and cognitive rehabilitation (including memory and learning exercises to stimulate brain development).
Our patients are referred to us by a variety of sources including private or public schools, pediatricians, child psychologists, occupational or physical therapists, speech language pathologists or through early intervention programs. Some parents self-refer for our services and many parents of children who we have treated in the past have referred their family and friends.
The developmental and behavioral difficulties we treat include:
- ADD and ADHD (including quantitative EEG evaluation)
- Autism Spectrum Disorders (Pervasive Developmental Disorders)
- Asperger's Disease
- Learning disabilities without evidence of ADD
- Anxiety
- Depressive Disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
- Conduct Disorders
