The Section of Pediatric Critical Care at Monmouth Medical Center consists of 5 fulltime and 4 part-time board-certified pediatric intensivists. We offer general pediatric critical care services with all modes of ventilation, including high frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide. Other services provided include long-term IV access, such as PIC-lines or Broviacs, as well as procedural sedation. We sedate children for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, such as MRIs and other radiological tests, bone marrow biopsies, endoscopies, chest tube placement, and other procedures.
