Laura is a Monmouth County native; she grew up in Ocean Township and graduated Cook College, Rutgers University. She received her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, UMDNJ in New Brunswick. She lived in Providence, Rhode Island for 7 years, completing a residency in Emergency Medicine at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital. While working as an attending physician in their residency program, she then completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at adjoining Hasbro Children’s Hospital. She returned to NJ as an Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in their Pediatric Emergency Department for 2 ½ years. She came to Monmouth Medical Center in 2006 as a full time physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department and part time in the Main ED. She has been in practice for 6 years and is boarded in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Her professional interests include pain management, asthma and toxicology. She also enjoys time with her family, fiction writing and editing, and cooking.
