Medical Center is pleased to announce that the City of Long
Branch, NJ has officially designated November 2, 2006 as, “Dr.
Margaret Eng Day” in honor of her dedication and hard
work within the local Hispanic community fighting and treating
HIV.
Margaret Eng, M.D., board certified in infectious disease, medical
director of the HIV clinic at Monmouth Medical Center, has been
with MMC since 2000 and has been practicing medicine in the field
of infectious diseases for the past 20 years with a focus on
HIV care.
Dr. Eng was named, “Attending of the Year 2003” by
the Monmouth Medical Residents, was listed in “Top Doctors
(Washington Magazine, 1993-2000),” and “Area’s
Best Doctors (Washington Consumer Checklist, 1998-2000).”
Both the City of Long Branch and Monmouth Medical Center are
very fortunate to have such a distinguished, compassionate, and
award-winning physician helping to heal the local community.
Long Branch Mayor Adam Schneider, members of the city council,
and the Hispanic Community honored Dr. Eng at an awards ceremony
held in her honor on November 2, 2006 at Monmouth Medical Center.
In addition to her award from the City of Long Branch, Dr. Eng
also received a similar award presented to her by U.S. Rep. Frank
Pallone, Jr., D-NJ, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce
Subcommittee on Health.
