LONG BRANCH, NJ – Area families who have experienced the
loss of a loved one from a brain tumor gathered recently to share
their experiences and help share their loss through an innovative
art program called “Art is Good.” Presented by the
David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center at Monmouth Medical Center
in cooperation with Creative Seven, the Art is Good class was
held at Surf Taco in Belmar, and taught by local artist Tim Kelly.

Artist Tim Kelly (left) led the Art is Good program offered
by The David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center at Monmouth Medical
Center. Joining him is Judy Zocchi, Pat Doherty, and his children
Olivia and Kyle. Doherty lost his wife to a brain tumor.
The class was designed to give children and adults the opportunity
to socialize with others who are in a similar situation and offer
a forum for expression through creativity and friendship. The
Art Is Good classes are a casual way to bring together families
who have a common situation in their lives.
