The Department of Medicine encompasses more than 150 physicians,
including many primary care practitioners who deliver full adult
medical services.
The department also is represented by subspecialists in the areas
of:

- Cardiovascular Disease
- Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology
- Hematology/Oncology
- Infectious Disease
- Internal Medicine
- Neurology
- Pulmonary Disease
- Rheumatology
In addition, three major services---diabetes, renal
and geriatrics---fall under the department's umbrella.
