Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Recognized Nationally as a Thomson 100 Top Hospital – For the Second Consecutive Year!
Thomson, formerly Solucient, examined the performance of more than 2,800 United States hospitals, rating them on eight factors that reflect clinical outcomes and efficiency, financial strength and market growth. The study analyzed publicly available Medicare cost reports, Medicare Provider Analysis and Review data, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) outpatient data. One hundred hospitals were identified for having improved the most from 2001 to 2005. They were grouped into categories of teaching hospitals, including Newark Beth Israel and other Saint Barnbas Health Care System affiliates --- Saint Barnabas in Livingston, and among the community hospitals category, including Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. This is an outstanding accomplishment. [ top ] |
