The Department of Medical Education is responsible for undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Newark Beth Israel participates in 15 residency programs and has more than 160 residents. The Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey -New Jersey Medical School and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
