PSYCHIATRY (973) 926-7024 The Department offers inpatient, outpatient, partial care, and 24-hour emergency/screening services for adults, adolescents, and children. Each year, we see more than 1,200 psychiatric inpatients, approximately 25,000 ambulatory visits, more than 2,000 emergency/screening visits, and numerous consultations to medical and surgical patients. Patient problems treated include dual diagnosis, (patients with both a psychiatric illness and addictions to alcohol and/or drugs), parenting difficulties, crisis situations, and chronic mental illness.
