Specializing
in advanced gynecology, gynecologic surgery, infertility
and robotic surgery, Dr Thani performs a wide range of
robotic procedures from uterine-preserving myomectomy to
tubal ligation reversals and salpingostomy using the da
Vinci® Surgical System.
Dr.
Thani has been performing major gynecological procedures
for more than 20 years
He
received his medical degree from the University of West
Indies in Mona, Jamaica. Formerly associated with
the University of London, Dr. Thani completed his residency
at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he served as
Chief Resident. He is a recipient of the CREOG award for
resident teaching.
A
Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, Fellow American
College of Surgeons, Dr. Thani is a member of the Minimally
Invasive Robotic Association, the American Association
of Gyn Laparoscopists and the American Urogynecologic
Society.
Dr.
Thani is also a member of the International Organization
For Women and Development. He was part of the 2004 fistula
missionary group to Niger.
