Press Releases - 2006 NEWARK BETH ISRAEL MEDICAL INTRODUCES CAREPAGES TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES NEWARK, NJ - Beginning in October, a new Internet-based communications system called CarePages will be offered as a free service for patients and their families at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. CarePages service provides patients and their families with personalized web pages that update relatives and friends without the need for repeated phone calls. CarePages also make it possible for relatives and friends to send messages of encouragement, giving patients and families emotional support. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, is among the first in this region to have access to an innovative new tool for staying in touch with family and friends while they are in the hospital, and even after they go home. Newark Beth Israel subscribes to the service from TLContact, Inc., the company that developed CarePages. TLContact and Newark Beth Israel have worked together to integrate the service which can be accessed through the NBI website: carepages.com/newarkbethisrael. Additionally, TLContact provides patients and their families with technical and customer support.
