Newark, NJ – The Frederick B. Cohen,
MD, Cancer and Blood Disorder Center’s Patient Assistance
Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center will be the beneficiary
of a day of bowling sponsored by Congregation Oheb Shalom of South
Orange, scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2009.
The
proceeds from the day’s event will provide financial assistance
for patients of the Cancer Center including funding taxi rides
for patients who have no friends or relatives available to drive
them to appointments or buying wigs for patients when insurance
does not cover the cost. The congregation’s Men’s Club
is sponsoring the charity event, and both children and adults can
participate.
