“Bridges cares for patients in need of post-hospital rehabilitation
services by offering a wide range of clinical specialty services including
amputee recovery; joint surgery rehabilitation; stroke recovery; post-acute
cardiac rehabilitation; skilled rehabilitation; and physical, occupational
and speech therapies,” explains Mr. Santo. The unit is conveniently
located on a dedicated floor at Clara Maass Continuing Care Center at
Kearny, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, with
a private entrance on Belgrove Drive. “The goal of the unit
is to assist patients in reaching their wellness goals so that they
may return to an active and independent lifestyle,” he adds.
To further enhance the patient experience, this 30-unit rehabilitation
suite offers amenities such as wall-mounted LCD flat panel televisions,
kitchenettes and full private bathrooms in each suite, eighteen private
suites, wireless internet access, dining upon request, individualized
rehabilitation sessions in the unit’s private rehabilitation gym,
a 24-hour snack pantry, and free cable and phone service.
