 Lakewood, NJ -- Pictured here, Saint Barnabas Assisted Living at Lakewood Administrator, Alexis Comodore, RN, CALA, (left) receives a proclamation from Lakewood Township Mayor and New Jersey State Senator, Robert W. Singer, in honor of the facility’s 10th anniversary. The celebration included residents, family members, and employees of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System and featured a ceremony to honor residents and staff who have been with the facility since its opening.
Saint Barnabas Assisted Living at Lakewood, fully licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, opened during the summer of 1999 with the goal of offering older adults the opportunity to live independently with the assurance that assistance is nearby if needed.
This one-story residence has 39 living suites including 25 studios, 8 deluxe studios, 4 one-bedroom apartments and 2 two-bedroom apartments – all of which support each resident’s need for privacy and choice. Facility highlights include an award-winning dining program, private chapel, outdoor courtyard, and an on-site beauty and barber salon. Small pets are also welcome.
