Kaaren Scaturo, RNC, MDS Coordinator at Clara Maass Continuing
Care Center at Belleville was recently honored by the American Association
of Nurse Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) with a Best Practice Award
in Clinical Assessment.
Clara Maass Continuing Care Center at Belleville, a long-term care
and short-term rehabilitation facility located at One Clara Maass
Drive in Belleville, is an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health
Care System.
The AANAC is a professional organization dedicated to supporting
clinicians who are involved in the Resident Assessment Instrument/Minimum
Data Set (RAI/MDS) process by providing accurate and timely information
on clinical assessment, care planning, regulatory requirements,
reimbursement, quality indicators and measures, automation and transmission
of federally mandated instruments, and research.
Scaturo, who was nominated for the award by Karen La Para, LNHA,
Administrator at Clara Maass Continuing Care Center, has been the
MDS Coordinator at the facility for more than 10 years. “Kaaren
is a knowledgeable and dedicated professional,” describes
La Para. “I am extremely proud of her receipt of the Best
Practice Award from the AANAC.”
