The 19-bed CCIS at Monmouth Medical Center provides inpatient care for children and adolescents age 5 to 17. This intensive therapeutic treatment program is led by board-certified/ eligible child and adolescent psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team of specialists in child and adolescent behavioral health who provide comprehensive assessment, evaluation and treatment of youngsters in acute crisis. Monmouth's A.W.A.R.E. Program (Adolescents Working at Reaching Excellence) is a partial hospitalization program for 12-17 years olds who have serious emotional, behavioral and/or dual diagnostic disorders. Chelsea House provides treatment for 14-17 year olds who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. The program promotes responsibility, self-respect and positive leisure time activities to break the cycle of addiction.
