Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Programs

• Children's Crisis Intervention Service (CCIS)

In a supportive, structured inpatient setting designed for youngsters in severe crisis, CCIS provides acute psychiatric care to stabilize children age 5 through 17.

• Intensive Outpatient Program - Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC)

The TLC program provides an intensive outpatient preschool program for children age 3 to 5 and an after-school program for children age 5 to 12. Play therapy, group, individual and family therapy, parent counseling, behavior modification, case management and occupational therapy are included. In these highly individualized programs, a case manager directs families to community resources and social service agencies for aftercare and support.

• Outpatient Services

Newark Beth Israel offers traditional outpatient services as well as unique and highly specialized program, such as the Juvenile Fire Starters Program which provides distinct and appropriate interventions for the particular needs of this group.
