Volunteer Resource Department (973) 322-5592 Six hundred adult and junior volunteers donate over 100,000 hours annually, serving many vital roles in the hospital and providing companionship to patients in need of company. Volunteers can be found in virtually every area of the Medical Center, including the Admitting Department, the Emergency Room, the Information Desk and Surgical Reception. Junior Volunteers, age 14 and up are always welcome. Volunteers can ask about the Senior Helping Seniors Program for older adults, Child Life Program, Newspaper Delivery, Patient Escort and many other areas of interest.
