PROGRAMS CHOW Children's Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Program: CHOW is designed both to inform and motivate children to eat better. The curriculum consists of ten lessons on healthful eating and active living. The program is targeted towards children ages 9-15. Topics include the diet-disease connection, healthy eating, food advertising, food labels, exercise and healthy lifestyle. Egg Donors Sought by Renowned Infertility Program: The Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of Saint Barnabas Medical Center's success in treating both male and female-related disorders is well documented and its pregnancy rates are among the highest in the world. Egg donors can help infertile couples and receive $5,000 in compensation. For more information on becoming an egg donor, please call (973) 322-5862. Moms in Motion: Prenatal and Postnatal Exercise Class: This series is designed to help new moms and moms-to-be cope with any discomfort and receive emotional support through low-impact aerobics and strengthening and toning exercises. Pediatric Outreach Education: Health care professionals are available to speak with classroom and civic groups on many topics, including "My Visit to the Doctor," "Be Smart, Eat Smart," and "Germbusters." Senior Health: Saint Barnabas Senior Health is a free membership program for people age 50 and over. It sponsors educational talks, fitness activities, courses and other programs. Trained counselors are available in the office to assist people with Medicare and supplemental health insurance. The suite is also the site of the Grotta Resource Center on Aging, a community library on health and lifestyle issues funded by the Grotta Foundation for Senior Care. Members receive a monthly newsletter describing the many activities and services available from Senior Health.
