Anne G. Nepo, M.D., pediatric oncologist and Director of The Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, was recently honored at the 7th Annual Burger King Franchisee Association of Metro New York, Inc. Golf and Tennis Tournament. The event was held on September 27 at the Brooklake Country Club.
Dr. Nepo was acknowledged for her 18 years of service to the children of The
Valerie Fund. Since its inception in 1976, The Valerie Fund Children’s
Center at Saint Barnabas has provided urgently needed care to youngsters with
childhood cancers such as leukemia, lymphomas and neuroblastoma, and blood
disorders, such as sickle cell anemia, white cell abnormalities and thalassemia.
“We are pleased that Dr. Nepo has been publicly honored for her many years of dedicated medical care,” says John Bonamo, M.D., M.S., Executive Director, Saint Barnabas Medical Center. “She is a compassionate professional who provides nurturing, care to children facing an array of medical challenges.”
