Vinaya Rao, M.D., Joins the Team of Saint Barnabas Medical Center Nephrologists
Dr. Rao received much of her undergraduate and medical education abroad in India, Italy, and Austria. Thereafter, she came to the United States where she completed a residency in internal medicine at the Presbyterian Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania Health System, Philadelphia; a fellowship in nephrology at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami, Florida; as well as a fellowship in transplantation medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, in Madison, Wisconsin. She has published numerous articles in professional medical journals. Dr. Rao resides in Florham Park, N.J.

LIVINGSTON, N.J., October 10, 2003-- The latest nephrologist to join Saint Barnabas Medical Center is Vinaya Rao, M.D., a board-certified physician, who comes to Saint Barnabas from Miami, Florida. Dr. Rao has joined a team of 40 nephrologists (physicians concerned with the investigation and management of diseases of the kidney) at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The Saint Barnabas Health Care System Renal Transplant Centers perform more kidney transplants than any other facility in New Jersey, New York, Boston or Philadelphia.
