What is the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Neonatal ICU (NICU)?
 The NICU at Saint Barnabas Medical Center is a 48 bed, Level III Regional Perinatal Center that treats babies for prematurity, low birth
weight, acute illness and congenital disorders. Babies born in the Saint Barnabas NICU have impressive survival rates, higher than the national average.
While many premature infants live normal lives, common risks can be decreased through research, prevention of early birth and applications of advanced medical technology. Over the past three years, the Miracle Walk has generated over $560,000 used to develop an optimal healing environment.
What is Miracle Walk?
The Miracle Walk was created by a family in gratitude for the care their daughter received during a three month stay in the Saint Barnabas NICU.
A team of dedicated parents have joined their efforts by organizing and participating in this annual walk-a-thon to raise financial support for the NICU. Friends and families in our communities may sponsor a walker, make a donation or walk any distance that is comfortable for them. The scenic park has a stroller-friendly path to allow everyone in the family to get involved and make a difference.

Become a part of Miracle Walk by completing a registration form below. It is very important to register participants of every age to confirm the number of walkers and "Miracle Babies".

(Corner of Bloomfield and Lakeside Avenues)
- Turnpike N & S Exit 15W to Rte 280W
- GSP Exit 145 to Rte 280W
280W & E Exit 7(Pleasant Valley Way)
Right onto Pleasant Valley Way (this becomes Lakeside Ave.), follow to end at Bloomfield Ave. and make a right. Entrance to Verona Park will be on your right. Park in spaces in the park, along the side streets, or on Lakeside Ave. PLEASE do not park on the grass, and obey parking signs as parking rules will not be waived this day and tickets may be issued. The Boathouse is on the side of the lake opposite Lakeside Avenue.
