LIVINGSTON -- We all want to lead a life of our own choosing.
But in today's fast-paced world, with its competing priorities,
information overload, and confusing options, we can easily find
ourselves steered by impulse, stress or the demands of the moment.
Are our decisions the right ones?
On Monday, June 22, 2009, at 7 p.m., community members are invited
to join columnist and best-selling author Suzy Welch whose new
book, 10-10-10: A Life Transforming Idea, proposes
a powerful, proven strategy for making difficult decisions and
clarifying life choices. The free program will be held in the Islami
Auditorium at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, located at 94 Old
Short Hills Road in Livingston, N.J. Seating for the event is limited
and advanced registration is required. Please call 1-888-SBHS-123,
option #1.
Ms. Welch will discuss her transformative 10-10-10 approach to
decision making, a process which asks people to think about the
consequences of their choices in 10 minutes, 10 months and 10 years.
In essence, 10-10-10 is a strategy to help people regain control
of their choices- and reclaim their lives. This easy-to-apply tool
can be used by anyone - from those facing a life-changing crossroads
to those looking to make simple choices. Following the lecture,
Ms. Welch will take questions from the audience.
A mother of four teenagers, Suzy Welch is a work/life columnist
for O, The Oprah Magazine and a contributor to O's
Big Book of Happiness. She and her husband Jack Welch are
co-authors of the best-selling book Winning and their
column, "The Welch Way'' is published nationally by Business
Week and internationally by the New York Times syndicate.
