Saint Barnabas Medical Center Holds an Update Concerning Breast Cancer Treatment Livingston, N.J. – As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Cancer Centers of Saint Barnabas Medical Center will sponsor a free Breast Cancer symposium entitled “Empowerment Through Knowledge: Annual Breast Cancer Treatment Update” on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. This program is an opportunity for breast cancer patients and their families to hear from our multidisciplinary team of physician experts regarding current topics in the treatment of breast cancer. The program will include: Exploring Treatment Options for Estrogen Receptor Positive (ER+) Breast Cancers; What’s New in HER-2 and Other Targeted Therapies; New Approaches to Treating Triple-Negative Breast Cancer; and I Have Survived Breast Cancer: Now What? How Do I Thrive? Ample time will be allowed for questions. Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a light dinner and the presentations from 6:15 to 9 p.m. in the Islami Auditorium at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road in Livingston. The event is free, but pre-registration is required by calling (973) 322-2668 by September 2. Free parking will be available in the main visitors’ lot.
