Ranjana Tavorath, M.D., Joins The Cancer Center LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- Ranjana Tavorath, M.D., recently joined the staff of The Cancer Center of Saint Barnabas in Livingston. Board certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Tavorath underwent training at prestigious academic institutions in the United States and abroad. She received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, followed by postgraduate training at Kingston General Hospital in England. She was a clinical lecturer at The Royal Free Hospital/University of London, England. Thereafter, she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and her fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Tavorath is also the co-author of several research articles on cancer-related topics. She looks forward to bringing her expertise in general oncology, with a specialty in breast cancer, to The Cancer Center of Saint Barnabas and its patients. She resides in Denville with her husband, Raj Sugathan.

She comes to Saint Barnabas from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where she worked for numerous years following her Fellowship there. Dr. Tavorath also has additional experience as an assistant professor of Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
