Saint Barnabas is dedicated to creating a comfortable, healing environment for our patients. In doing so, the visiting hours policy is designed to provide patients with the utmost privacy and an opportunity to rest. Visitors must obtain a pass at the Information Desk, located in the main lobby. Information about visiting hours can also be obtained at the Information Desk or the nurses’ station on each floor. Two visitors are permitted at one time unless otherwise indicated. Antepartum-3200 Husband or significant other may visit until 11 p.m. All others may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visitors other than siblings must be 12 years of age or older. Burn Intensive Care Unit-2100* Immediate family (12 years of age or older) may visit adult patients only from 12:30 to 6 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Only family members may visit pediatric patients from 12:30 to 6 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Burn Step-Down Unit-2100 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. One parent may stay at the child’s bedside. Children under age 12 may not be left unattended and must be accompanied by an adult. Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) – 2500 11 to 11:30 a.m.; 8 to 8:30 p.m. Immediate family only (12 years of age or older). No fresh flowers are allowed in rooms. Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU)* 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Immediate family only (12 years of age or older). No food or flowers are allowed in patient rooms. Gynecological Oncology-2700 Visitation is unrestricted. Children of all ages are welcome. Maternal Child Pavilion-6100, 3700 Fathers/Labor partners are encouraged to visit at any time and can even sleep over. Siblings and visitors are welcome between the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Visitors other than siblings must be 12 years of age or older. Medical/Surgical Units - 2300, 2400, 4100, 4700, 5200, 5700 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visitors must be 12 years of age or older. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; 7:30 to 10 p.m. Maximum two visitors at one time. Visitor must be accompanied by a parent. Ask nurses about sibling visits. Oncology-5300 Visitation is unrestricted. Children of all ages are welcome. Pediatrics-4300 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Two visitors, 12 years of age or older, may visit in addition to the parents. One parent may stay at the child's bedside 24 hours a day; the other parent can stay until 11 p.m. or spend the night in the family room. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)* Visitation is available 24 hours a day. Immediate family only, 12 years of age or older. No food or flowers are allowed in patient rooms. *Visitors may be asked to leave if medical procedures are necessary during visiting hours. [ top ] |
